The mama behind it

Casey, founder of Cleanse Mama, in her open-air jungle home

Hi,
I'm Casey.

I've spent most of my life chasing one question: what actually helps us thrive, and what's quietly getting in the way?

I studied psychology and the sciences, but my curiosity never really stayed inside the classroom. I traveled. Lived in a handful of different countries, picked up pieces of different cultures, and eventually landed deep in the world of natural health. I became an herbalist, worked in natural health, studied sustainability and permaculture, taught yoga for years, and eventually built my own medicinal tea company.

Every one of those chapters handed me another piece of the picture. But the deeper I went, the more I kept landing on something almost embarrassingly simple: health doesn't always need more. A lot of the time, it needs less.

Fewer ingredients. Less processing. Fewer synthetic chemicals our bodies were never actually built to deal with.

That belief stopped being theoretical when my father was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). Watching his health decline, and learning about his exposure to heavy metals and environmental toxins along the way, changed how I looked at everything. Suddenly I was questioning things I'd walked past a thousand times without a second thought.

The year after he passed, I got pregnant. And just like that, it wasn't only my own health on my mind anymore — it was the tiny person growing inside me, and the kind of environment I wanted to build for my family.

So I went deeper. I started really looking at everything around us — what we eat, what we breathe, what we clean with, what we cook with, what touches our skin, what we let into our homes. And every time, I landed back in the same place: simplicity.

We don't need more products. We don't need more complicated protocols. We definitely don't need to chase perfection. We need to get back to basics.

These days, I'm raising my three kids with my family in the Mexican jungle, off-grid, learning every single day what it actually means to live with less. When you don't have all the conveniences you're used to, you get real clear, real fast, about what you actually need — and what was just noise. It's been one of the best teachers I've ever had.

And here's what I keep coming back to: simpler doesn't mean harder. A lot of the time, it means better. More connection. More awareness. More intention. A lot less stuff.

Because while no single thing explains every health issue, I do think our growing exposure to environmental toxins deserves way more attention than it gets. Our bodies are in constant conversation with the world around us, and what we surround ourselves with actually matters.

That's why I built Cleanse Mama.

Not to convince you everything in your home is toxic. Not to make you afraid of every ingredient you can't pronounce. And definitely not to tell you to throw it all out and start from zero.

I want to help you understand what actually matters — what's worth replacing, what's worth simplifying, what you can stop buying entirely, and what genuinely isn't worth your worry.

There's no perfect home, love, and there's no perfect way to do this. But I believe we can make better choices. We can bring less unnecessary toxicity into our homes. We can choose simpler ingredients and cleaner materials. We can build an environment that actually supports our health instead of constantly adding to the pile.

Maybe healthier living was never about adding more. Maybe it's about going back to less.

Less toxins. Cleaner living. Better health.

What I believe

Toxins are everywhere.

We can't control every exposure, but we can be more intentional about the ones we invite into our homes every day.

Go back to basics.

Fewer ingredients. Less processing. Cleaner materials. Before reaching for another solution, look at what can simply be removed.

Your health starts at home.

The food you eat matters. So does the water you drink, the air you breathe, and the products and materials you live with every day.
